Determine whether the routers you're interested in support SNMP, and 
whether their security is adequate. Research the standard ADSL-related 
MIBs, and talk to the relevant manufacturers/distributors to see what 
extra facilities they offer. Assuming that there's something usable, 
wade in with Synapse or whatever.
