I noticed that, and indeed it is strange. So it seems some other setting
or font issue in your Win7 install. Sorry, I'm out of ideas now - I
don't run Windows much.

If you build another LCL application (one of the demos, lhelp,
lazdatadesktop etc), do they have the same issue as the IDE? If not,
maybe try rebuilding the IDE.

Well, then the VM is behaving correctly. :) A VM should behave exactly
as if it is the only OS on a system - it shouldn't be affected by
settings of the host system.
