[Lazarus] Project defined Macros?

I thought maybe it is the IDE macros as can be seen in this screenshot.

But my Lazarus IDE (Lazarus 1.5 r49362 FPC 2.6.4 x86_64-freebsd-gtk 2)
doesn't have a "Build Modes" node (seen in screenshot) under the
Compiler Options either???

I'm loosing my mind here. :-/
