[Lazarus] Lazarus 1.5 IDE corrupted view at start up

I have noted recently that if I close Lazarus and then later start it
again sometimes (maybe 1 out of 3) the main window containing the
menus and components list changes such that it covers half the screen
vertically and only uses the left half of that window. Many menu
commands are no longer accessible and the component tool bar seems to
go vertically down the middle.
If I minimize Lazarus (the upper right corner buttons are still
visible) and then restore it from the taskbar the view returns to
normal.
Is this a known problem in the trunk version?
I am running version 1.5 svn 50023 from Oct 10, 2015.
