"Death of .NET" was a really bad wording of mine. I meant "Death of the 
.NET (CIL) Framework.

Yep I know. I am using several of them myself. and always am unhappy 
about their extreme slow  starting. :(

IMHO Using CIL/.NET for local applications is not a good idea at all.
