Ok, it is not particularly slow but it has buttons with images.
Loading image resources always takes some time.
When I profiled the startup, only the editor macro package was very
slow. Otherwise the time adds up from small details. The possible
speedup would have to come from the small details, too.
Delayed image loading is a common optimization which can be seen
visually in some programs.
