What?
This is excellent news for me. I didn't know that now I can also
compile code for the ESP32/esp8266 family. Several times I mentioned
that I make embedded electronics, and when I need software for the
desktop I use Lazarus/Freepascal (since 2002~2005 or so, I started
with Freepascal and then moved on to Lazarus). I use esp8266 and ESP32
since 2016 and I already have a few thousand lines of code for these
microcontrollers. Many thanks to all developers of Freepascal, Lazarus
and all complementary projects and extensions. For those who are and
those who are no longer with us, who will not be forgotten. This news
really warms my heart, I always used and defended the Freepascal
compiler with love (in my work they even make fun of me for using a
"forgotten" language). Thank you all for these tremendous advances, I
can't tell you how much I want to give you a hug. Thanks!
