I have also never seen signs that it's slow because of that.

Also, I took a look at ShowModal, and we don't have a loop with sleep
and process messages, so the control of the modal form is not with us,
but with Qt. Just sleep(10) and process messages executed once has
almost null impact on cpu consumption
