thx both. the concerned procedures are only used internally
and the uses cases are not foreseen for nil pointers.
I will see if I can reproduce it in normal cases, if 
so it is a bug else it was probably something like 
a stack alignment error (more frequent on arm) 
that causes code execution with random parameter.
