[lazarus] Lazarus' objectives

Let me provide a little more input to this. The lazarus components use a
generic messaging to manipulate a gui object. In order to link another
windowing tool kit be it xforms, gtk, gnome, kde, qt, win32 only the gui
object has to be built "One Source Code Unit".

The compiler is FPC and whatever they run on we run on.

The intent is to run on just about everything including a gameboy "Just
Kidding ;)"!

To build a Delphi like programming environment for use with any platform
that is supported by FPC.

Totally. It will be a write once compiler anywhere implementation.

Lazarus rides on the back of FPC, where FPC goes Lazarus goes.
