If someone wishes to get real creative I can 
show you how to build the same thing as the win32 engine only you would render 
your own components in OpenGL.
I can be done. The LCL can handle this type of 
thing because of the abstraction
layer. Components know 
absolutely nothing about about the way in which they are rendered.
Rounded edged buttons or mac auqua look and feel now that 
would be some cool looking stuff.
3D Controls with shadowing would also be really 
I can only give you a simple implementation stub 
since I have to get back to the QT and designer hacking.
