[lazarus] Curiosity on RegCloseKey

Hi,
 
I enter as parameter RegCloseKey random numbers and 
is that (in some numbers) RegCloseKey does not report any error.
 
How I can know if RegClose Key is really closing an 
open key?
When RegCloseKey closes a key, also the safe 
one?
