It is not so big problem as smb thinks. Yesterday I downloaded a srpm, but I had
no idea that it was from 4th version. But as for srpm, you need only correct
version in it. Third or forth byte is 04H, if you correct it to 03H, you'll be
able to install .tgz file. This trick does not seems to work with more difficult
packages (I don't think that it will work with binary rpm)
