[lazarus] problem using new compiler 1.0.4

Is anyone experiencing a problem compiling with 1.0.4?  When I do it compiles fine but crashes when I try to call DrawFrameControl in Speedbutton.inc.  If I 


make clean

and compile with the 1.0.2 I made on 12/18 then it works fine.  I re-did a full cvs checkout of lazarus but that had no affect.  Anyone have a suggestion?  I need 1.0.4 for the streaming fixes.
