I know achim (he's sitting next to me).

I've just tried the same. Suse 7.0 - RPM is not able to install the rpms.
Using alien on an debian machine I've found out this: the
fpc-1.0.5-src-rpm contains just and only a *.tar.gz.

That's one of this points where I ask myself... :-)

I'ld suggest putting .tar.gz of 1.0.5 binary and source on
