[lazarus] Abbrevia...

I don't know whether someone knows TurboPower's Abbrevia: it's a component
suite which can handle some kinds of archive files: .zip, .gz, .tar (and .cab
on windows)

I have compiled it using FPC, and it seems to work fine, after some fixes in
the libc unit, and virtually no changes to the original code except fixing
their own _broken_ linux support.

However: there are some visual components, and most examples are visual
examples. I have not worked with those yet.

I think it would be a good idea to try and make this into a lazarus package ?

Since this kind of situation will happen more regularly (conversion of
Delphi code to lazarus), wouldn't it be good to set up some kind of
repository for this kind of stuff ?
