I did so, locally in pidgin. Is that all?

This is the server for my account, port 5190 (default).

Attempts to connect run until:
(13:44:58) oscar: connected to FLAP server of type 0x0017
followed by several dbus and connection errors, ending in "disconnected" 
and "signed off" :-(

This is what I tried with "enter chat". The "#" part of the room name, I 
assume?

Okay, I'll try that room, too. As soon as I can connect...
