[Lazarus] Where is fp ide located on my Mint 10 Linux system (ubuntu based)?

If those binaries are in your path then `which fp` and `which fpc`
should say where the programs are installed/located. Otherwise, the
package manager (e.g. synaptic in Ubuntu) is usually able to tell
which files got installed by a package (and where) in some
"details/installed files" section/tab of the pkg manager.
