And that is one of the things Elastic Tabstops will resolve (prevent).
Yet each developer will have there preferred indentation amount.

And what you mentioned is a perfect example why fixed width tabs
(static tabstops) fail miserably - because the amount of Tab
characters used will vary based on user preference. It elastic
tabstops they will not.
