I do agree. I was not completely convinced that not using the pthreadlib 
in the libc for managing the thread stuff. I suppose there are pros and 
cons (see the "Threadvar" discussion). I suppose when getting at that a 
discussion what and how stuff from *libc*.so is to be accessed.
