Hi, from a previous discussion I promised to update the pt_PT 
translation. I have started the translation but it is going slower.
I started at the same time that 0.9.30 was going to be released and as I 
was told to work with the trunk version I figured that I had plenty of 
time before next version.

if 4) can be: I will maintain it. I would see it as the be the best option.

Beware that this is a topic that can lead to a small flame war between 
the few Portuguese here and the larger Brazilian community. While is 
true that there was a very small difference between Portuguese and 
Brazilian orthography and that was unified with the latest agreement, 
the main differences are semantical. Many times, the word used to 
describe a certain concept are not the same, allowing you to identify 
the writer origin in one or two phrases.
