I can feel with you... we have the same low speed at home (a small town 
in Upper Bavaria). I was impressed once by my mobile connection (HSDPA) 
though when I downloaded a 80 MB file in less then 10 minutes in a train 
ride from Munich central station to Munich Pasing. ^^
