I have merged them in r50418-r50424.
It did not help really. The designer is quite buggy with both GTK2 and
QT. I am sure it was working better some time ago.

Anyway let's continue developing it in trunk. I try to get commit
rights for you Maciej. Until that I can apply patches.
BTW, you already have developer status is the bug tracker.
