Personally I loved the idea of Java Applets. You had the full power of
the Java language and a full feature GUI to work with. Just a pity
Sun/Oracle went through a period of not keeping up with Java bugs.
Luckily that is all behind us now, but unfortunately Java Applets paid
the price.
