[Lazarus] Trouble with new installation

I have 2.2.0RC1 on Windows 10 too, plain vanilla install, and none of 
the issues you describe.

I think I can help, but need more infos. Your post leaves too many 
possibilities, and stabbing in the dark will cost a lot of time. Easiest 
way would be if you subscribe to https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org 
and post your issues there, so you can attach screenshots of how your 
Object Inspector looks like, and post  the code so I can do some 
research in it.
