On Win32 it is where lazarus is... Any help there is welcome.

This is a known problem.

Unix format: this is OK, since the compiler and lazarus understand both,
although it would be better if lazarus used the default directory
separator for all platforms.

The macos compiler is currently being worked on - very actively.
The PPC CPU port works on linux, I think that the Mac OS port itself is close
to working.
