TListBox. But that was too slow on some widgetsets.

There are plans to show several levels.

Grids are very flexible. I don't know if they are underestimated.
There many grid controls for Delphi with the hundreds of
properties and there are many boring programs using grids, so IMO grids
are often overestimated as user interface.
